Check Policy
We
regret that we are no longer able to accept personal
checks. We still accept certified checks, cashier’s
checks and traveler’s checks. Please use your Visa
check card with your PIN number to access funds from
your checking account. We appreciate your
understanding and apologize for any inconvenience to
you.
Returns
Bicycles
Bicycles are not returnable for a refund. A
bicycle may be exchanged for original
purchase amount credit within 5 days of
purchase for a model of the same value or higher
IF the bicycle is un-ridden and in showroom
condition as determined by the store manager,
unless;
the bicycle was special ordered
the bicycle was on layaway
it was on sale more than 10% off MSRP
it was a closeout deal such as (but not limited to) a prior
year’s model
Accessories
Accessories may be returned for a full refund within
15 days of purchase if unopened in its original
packaging and accompanied by the original receipt.
Refunds will not be given if those conditions are
not met. Additionally;
shoes may not have had cleats mounted nor show scuff
marks
helmets may not have been worn
shorts, jerseys, socks and gloves may not have been worn
Parts
Parts installed on bicycles by Sunshine or the
Customer are not returnable for a refund.
Parts never installed and in their original
packaging may be returned for a full refund within
15 days of purchase with the original receipt
unless they were special ordered or on layaway.
Food Products
Food products are not returnable or
exchangeable.
Labor
Labor charges are not refundable.
Limited Free Service
Sunshine Bicycle Company offers 1 year of limited
free service with the purchase of a new bicycle at
our store. We want to ensure that your bike is in
great working order for you to enjoy. Please take a
moment to look over some of the aspects of our
service.
Why does Sunshine offer free service?
Our
free service is intended to back up our assembly
work and guarantee that the bike functions as it
should under normal conditions.
What is covered with the free
service?
We
make minor adjustments needed to keep your bike in
great operating condition as it breaks in. This
includes adjusting the derailleurs and brakes,
adjusting bearings that may have loosened,
tightening any bolts, truing the wheels if necessary
and performing a safety inspection.
What is not covered with the free
service?
Our
free service is limited to the minor adjustments
listed above. Overhaul work or any
out-of-the-ordinary upkeep is not included. Cleaning
the bike is not included. Rider positioning or
fitting is not included. Cleat installation is not
included. Additionally, we do not provide free
service for the installation of aftermarket parts
and accessories during the year.
What would void the free service?
Free
service will not be provided once normal conditions
of the bicycle no longer exist. This includes (but
is not limited to) excessive wear or damage from
hard riding, accidents and warranty problems. We
will also stop providing free service if you have
replaced original manufacturer’s components with
aftermarket parts, unless they were purchased at and
installed by Sunshine Bicycle Company in Clemson.
Are there any charges that may apply
when getting the service?
Under normal circumstances there are no charges.
However, if we deem that the bike has been
mishandled or that its condition is not the result
of normal use, there will be a labor charge for your
work. You will be charged a $15 cleaning fee if you
drop your bike off for service muddy, extremely
dirty or excessively greasy. |
